We understand that litigation should always be the last, never the first, option for a client. Yet we also understand that once a client is forced to litigate, it is our duty to provide aggressive advocacy to obtain a just result. We strive to be strong advocates while at the same time being sensitive to the costs of litigation for our clients. We focus our litigation services in two areas – commercial matters in state courts, federal courts, administrative bodies, arbitrations and mediations, and trust and estate matters primarily in Surrogate’s Court. We have litigated breaches of contracts, breaches of fiduciary duties, employment disputes, and property ownership claims. We have successfully handled a variety of challenging Surrogate’s Court proceedings including will contests, contested accountings, will constructions, elective share disputes, and guardianship and kinship hearings. We have particular experience in both federal and state appeals.
